The IIE Varsity College Sandton Campus has a vacancy for an Honours Supervisor (Independent Contractor) within the Faculty of Humanities. 

  • Independent Research Project (INRP8419)

Key Performance Areas:

  • Supervise students.
  • Provide constructive feedback regarding Concept Document, Literature Review, Research Proposal & Literature, Data Collection & Analysis, Finding and Interpretation and Research Report per student.

Competencies Required:

  • Good communication skills.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Online Technology & Communication Skills
  • Reliable. 
  • Ability to meet marking deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage work and self proactively

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

Ideally:

  • A Master's in Psychology and experience supervising student research in the discipline of Psychology. A Research Methodology module should have been completed at NQF 8.
Alternatively:
  • If no previous supervision experience, a NQF 9 Psychology qualification that includes an academic research component will be ideal. 

Minimum Work Experience Requirements:

  • Previous supervision experience of at least 5 Honours students.

  • Please note that this is an Independent Contractor role.
