Emeris consolidates resources and expertise from IIE Varsity College, IIE MSA, IIE-Vega School, and IIE School of Hospitality & Service Management, with a unified approach ensuring a consistent standard of excellence in teaching, learning, and student support.
Emeris Bordeaux has a vacancy for a Lecturer in the following module:
Lecture based on provided content, ensure students are guided and supported in their learning. Mark student submissions and engage with campus teaching and learning.
Key Performance Areas:
Prepare for lectures based on provided content. Supplement content with own expertise. Deliver assigned modules to the stated outcomes and contracted hours. Mark student assessments and provide constructive feedback. Support student academic success by implementing workshops where needed. Perform academic admin, such as capturing assessment marks and reporting on student success. Provide content feedback. Engage with professional development opportunities and attend initial training sessions.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:
- Ideal: An Honours degree in Information Systems/ Computer Science with Game Development modules.
- Alternatively: An Honours degree in similarly related fields with programming or a similarly related field to the third year level and game development knowledge
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a software developer, application developer, or game developer.
- Prior lecturing or teaching experience in programming is highly desirable.
- Game development experience (independent or industry) will be considered a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine.
- Strong programming skills in C#, C++, or similar languages.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Understanding of game architecture, performance optimization, and debugging.
- Ability to mentor students in both technical and creative aspects of game development.
