Emeris consolidates resources and expertise from IIE Varsity College, IIE MSA, IIE-Vega School, and IIE School of Hospitality & Service Management, with a unified approach ensuring a consistent standard of excellence in teaching, learning, and student support.

Emeris Bordeaux has a vacancy for a Lecturer in the following module:
  • Game Design (GADS6221)
Job Purpose:

Lecture based on provided content, ensure students are guided and supported in their learning. Mark student submissions and engage with campus teaching and learning.

Key Performance Areas:

Prepare for lectures based on provided content. Supplement content with own expertise. Deliver assigned modules to the stated outcomes and contracted hours. Mark student assessments and provide constructive feedback. Support student academic success by implementing workshops where needed. Perform academic admin, such as capturing assessment marks and reporting on student success. Provide content feedback. Engage with professional development opportunities and attend initial training sessions.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:
  • Ideal: Honours Degree / Masters in a design field, such as BCIS Multimedia, Bachelor of Film Arts (Game Design) or Digital Arts with relevant work experience in the Game Design industry.
  • Alternatively: Honours degree in Digital Design, Media, Graphic Design, Multimedia, or a related field with creative development or programming experience relevant to second-year level game design.
Minimum Work Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of industry experience in game design or related creative fields.
    Proven ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and platforms (mobile and desktop).
    Strong portfolio demonstrating engagement with the full game design process, including conceptualisation, prototyping, iteration, and final execution.o
Preferred Skills:
  • Expertise in Design Thinking and Creative Strategy for problem-solving and critical engagement.
  • Experience designing for various genres and platforms (mobile, PC, etc.).
  • Familiarity with tools such as Unity, Unreal, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or other relevant design software.
  • Ability to mentor students in both theoretical and practical aspects of game design.ge.t.
Working Conditions:
