The IIE Vega, Durban Campus has a vacancy for a Part-Time Lecturer in Experience Design Technology for the second semester of the 2025 academic year.

Competencies Required:

• Excellent communication (written and verbal)
• Passion for customer service
• Demonstrated ability to manage work and self proactively
• Organisational and time management skills

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

• Ideal - BIS Hons or Masters in Multimedia, BA Hons or Masters in Digital Design, Game Design or Digital Arts with  knowledge of designing for Mixed Reality
• Alternatively - BA Hons or Masters in a cognate field with  knowledge and experience of designing for Mixed Reality

Minimum Work Experience Requirements:

At least 3 years industry experience in digital design or game design, including using industry standard platforms and technology to create mixed reality simulations.

Working Conditions:

• Please note that this is an Independent Contractor (part-time) role

Working Hours:

• Lectures take place Monday to Friday: 08:00 -17: 30 – specific days and times depend on the timetable for the specific module(s)

Salary:

• Hourly rate commensurate with experience and hours worked.
