The IIE’s Vega, Cape Town Campus has a vacancy for a Part-Time Academic Navigator (Lecturer) in the following module:

  • Brand Business Principles and Fundamentals

Job Purpose:

  • Lecture based on provided content, ensure students are guided and supported in their learning. Mark student submissions and engage with campus teaching and learning.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Prepare for lectures based on provided content. Supplement content with own expertise. Deliver assigned modules to the stated outcomes and contracted hours. Mark student assessments and provide constructive feedback. Support student academic success by implementing workshops where needed.  Perform academic admin, such as capturing assessment marks and reporting on student success. Provide content feedback. Engage with professional development opportunities and attend initial training sessions.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

Ideal:

  • 3 year Bachelor’s Degree with marketing or branding as a major

Alternatively:

  • Diploma in marketing or branding. Minimum level 6 Qualification

Minimum Work Experience Requirements:

  • Lecturing experience in general, contemporary and/or strategic management/ entrepreneurship/ risk management/ supply chain and or logistics management/ project management.
  • Work experience as a general or strategic manager/ risk management/ entrepreneurship/ supply chain management/ project management.
  • Being involved in the process of analysis and the components and functions of optimisation in the operational process (Theory of Constraint).
  • Having completed a Bachelor of Business Administration with business management as major up to third year and relevant industry experience.
